Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When are you Open?
A: Our 2010 season opens February 12th and runs through December 19th, with a New Year's Eve show on December 31st.  We offer both Lunch and Dinner shows Monday through Saturday, with the ability to do shows on Sunday as well, with prior arrangement.

Q: When are your shows?
A: Our Lunch shows are Monday-Saturday 11am to 2:30pm.  Our Dinner shows are Monday-Saturday 6pm-9:30pm.  Sunday shows are by special arrangement.  Reservations are Required

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Our Lunch Show Package is $34.95.  The Dinner Show Package is $44.95. Both Packages are All-Inclusive. You can get more information and see our menus HERE.

Q: What does the All-Inclusive Package Include?
A: Both packages include your meal, dessert, coffee or iced tea, entertainment, tax and tip.

Q: Is this a Buffet?
A: No, all of our meals are plated and served to you by our friendly wait staff.  You simply sit and enjoy!

Q: Are Children Allowed?
A: Yes, children are welcome, although we ask that they be age 3 or older.  While our show is family friendly, it is geared toward adults.  Our historic building doesn't have anywhere to "get away" with a crying baby nor do we offer discounts for children.

Q: How do we get seats?
A: Please call us to make arrangements.  As with any theatre, all tickets must be purchased in advance.  We will gladly assist you over the phone, and you can pay for your seats with Visa, Mastercard or Discover.  All shows are pre-scheduled, we cannot accept walk-ins.  In most cases (given enough time) you will receive a letter of confirmation, which will include your credit card receipt, and driving directions.  All contact info can be found on our contact page.

Q: What if we have to cancel?
A: We do not give refunds, so please be sure of the date and number of  seats you need prior to purchasing your tickets.  Should an emergency arise, please call us to let us know. We can occasionally transfer your tickets to anther date, depending availability, if we know in advance of your show date.

Q: How far in advance do we need to call?
A: We recommend calling ahead 2-3 weeks to secure the date you want.  We get particularly busy at the holidays, so if you are interested in a Christmas show, we suggest calling 2 months (or more) ahead of time.  There have been several years when every one of our Holiday weekend dates were booked by Halloween. Regardless of when you call, all seats must be paid for in advance.

Q: Do you take Walk-ins?
A: No, all shows are pre-scheduled and we cannot accommodate walk-ins.  All seats must be reserved and paid for in advance.

Q: Are you Handicapped Accessible?
A: Yes, we are Handicapped Accessible.  We ask that you inform us at the time you make your reservation of any special needs you may have, so we may best accommodate you.

Q: Do you have parking?
A: Yes, we have ample free parking!

Q: Do you have to get there early to get a good table?
A: No, your table is set up for the number you reserved, and waiting for you and your party  under the reservation name when you arrive.  Our theatre is very intimate, so there are no "bad seats" in the house.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: Comfortably casual.  We see everything from men in suits and ladies in sequins to jeans and t-shirts.  Generally the Boggstown "look" is Dockers and golf-type shirts for the men, slacks or skirts and a cute top for the ladies.

Q: Can you take Pictures?
A: Yes, flash photography is allowed (and encouraged!) although video and audio recording is strictly prohibited.

Q: Do you have Gift Certificates?
A: Yes, Gift Certificates are available in the amount of your choosing.  The attractive Certificate can be left blank and mailed to you, or filled out and mailed to your recipient.  The Gift Certificate is good for one year after date of purchase, and cannot be negotiated for cash.  We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates, and you cannot apply a coupon to the purchase of a Gift Certificate.

Q: I was there 20 years ago.  Is your show the same?
A: We honor the traditions the Boggstown Cabaret was founded on, but we continually move forward to keep our shows fresh, fun and entertaining.  We no longer feature banjo and ragtime music, but rather an array of music from 1890 through the present day, performed live by professional musicians.  As has always been the case, we also feature lots of comedy and audience interaction.  Give us a try if you've not been in awhile; most folks say it's better than ever!
